Planning Department Document Titles

When Referencing Planning Department documents:

  1. Italicize the full title (as shown in the abstract). The year of publication appears (unitalicized) as the first word of the document.
  2. If the plan is referred to more than once, give the document a short name (capitalized) that makes it readily identifiable and place it after the title on first reference. Use the short name on the second and subsequent references. Do not italicize the short name.
  3. Example: 1st reference - 2000 Approved Sector Plan and Sectional Map Amendment for the Addison Road Metro Town Center and Vicinity (Addison Road Metro Plan), 2nd and subsequent references - Addison Road Metro Plan
